Overall Objective

Salary per annum: R337 998

Requirements: A degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Economics and/or Auditing. One experience in financial and economic analysis or auditing and/or should demonstrate necessary relevant competencies developed through working experience. Exposure to compliance/enforcement environment. A solid understanding of the role of ITAC. Good understanding of the Industrial Policy Action Plan with regard to the motor industry and the Automotive Production and Development Programme (APDP). Proven policy analysis, project management, research, problem-solving, report writing and presentation skills.

Key responsibilities: The successful candidate will be required to: Process APDP claims according to the relevant legislation, policies and guidelines and procedures. Conduct research on developments in the domestic automotive industry and assess implications for policy. Assist the Commission in its considerations and decision-making regarding the investigations on APDP through written submissions and presentations. Interpret policy and Commission?s decisions to stakeholders for effective communication. Represent ITAC at various forums and interact with other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with the World Trade Organization (WTO) framework and relevant ITAC policies and procedures.
