A list of anti-dumping duties to expire during 2019 has been published.

The trade and industry department published the list in Government Gazette 41650.

According to the International Trade Administration Commission, stakeholders are invited to substantiate why a cessation of the duties will lead to a recurrence of dumping and injury and request a review of the proposal to do away with the duties.

Some of the products include Belgian frozen potato chips, Chinese wire ropes, Indonesian gypsum plasterboard and United States soda ash. Requests from manufacturers in the Southern African Customs Union for a review are invited until 25 June 2018.

Meanwhile, in Notice 281, the department has published draft standards for comment.

Some of the standards include personal eye protection for welding and ultraviolet filters, medical electrical equipment and safety of private swimming pools. A list of withdrawn standards is also provided including timber structures, moulded case circuit breakers and examination for the presence of viable Shigella organisms in foods.
