ITAC issues Preliminary Determination on alleged dumping of tubes and pipes from the Republic of Mozambique

ITAC recommends a revised anti-dumping duty increase of 43.77 percent on polyethylene terephthalate (PET) imported from China

Safripol made an application to ITAC, for a sunset review of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) imported from China, alleging that the expiry of the anti-dumping duties of the subject product, will likely lead to the recurrence and or continuation of dumping and material injury to the Southern African Customs Union (SACU) industry.

ITAC imposes final safeguard measures on imports of corrosion resistant steel coil – thin gauge

ITAC has concluded its investigation into increased imports of corrosion resistant steel coil, and made a recommendation to the Minister of Trade, Industry and Competition. The investigation, examined imports of certain flat-rolled steel products, commonly referred to as corrosion resistant steel coil.

Duty increase for rails and review after 3 years

IMPORTANT NOTICE RE: IMPORT & EXPORT PERMITS APPLICATIONS

Dear applicants, ITAC acknowledges the recent complaints with regards to turnaround times in the issuance of permits.

ITAC has been receiving an unusually high volume of import and export permit applications for personal used goods such as cell phones and laptops.

Please note that due to this spike, responses to emails and the turnaround times to generate import and export permits would be negatively impacted.
